The North Carolina Dental Society is holding a free dental clinic in Asheville this weekend from Friday, Sept. 6 through Saturday, Sept. 7.
The clinic includes free cleanings, exams, X-rays, fillings and more.
Local dentists are volunteering their time to help. They say it is a great way to give back to their local communities.
Free dental clinic offered in Asheville this weekend
"This is actually a really fun event for the whole dental community to give back – all across the state, we do these," said Dr. Lauren Marechal, a local dentist. "It's just nice because it's a lot of underserved populations that actually get a chance to get treatment and good treatment."
The clinic is for adults only. It will take place on Sept. 7 at the East Asheville Biltmore Church from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
