The North Carolina Dental Society was founded in 1856 and is one of the oldest dental societies in the country. We proudly represent nearly 3,600 member dentists – nearly 75 percent of the dentists in North Carolina.
The North Carolina Dental Society is a part of the American Dental Association, and all NCDS members are also ADA members. Our five districts constitute the final leg of our tripartite structure. We are headquartered in Cary.
Our vision is that all North Carolinians will enjoy the benefits of good oral health and our mission is sustain and improve the spectrum of oral health care for the people of North Carolina by maintaining a relevant and effective dental profession.
