The North Carolina Dental Society is a middle or Constituent member of a three-part dental organization know as the Tripartite. The upper most part of the structure is represented by the American Dental Association and the five districts form the layer under the North Carolina Dental Society. The five districts are identified as First through Fifth Dental Societies.
The Tripartite work closely to achieve goals and responsibilities outlined in their respective Constitution and By Laws.
