The Federal Trade Commission Issues Another Delay in Enforcement of the Red Flags Rule.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has delayed enforcement of the Red Flags Rule once again - this time from Nov. 1, 2009 to June 1, 2010. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives resoundingly passed H.R. 3763, a bill exempting small business owners, including private practicing dentists, from compliance with the Rule. H.R. 3763 now goes to the Senate. We are expecting that the Senate will approve this legislation following the wrangling over National Health Care Reform.
